Eden Speech and Language Therapy service is provided by Joanna Davies (BSc Hons, certMRCSLT, HCPCreg and MASLTIP), a qualified speech and language therapist.
Joanna is a registered and practising member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health and Care Professions Council and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. She has experience in treating a wide range of speech and language difficulties, and specialises in preschool and primary school aged children. Her particular interests include phonological and articulatory speech sound disorders.
Joanna qualified with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy in 2006. She has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist in both the NHS and private sector since then. She has gained considerable experience working in mainstream schools. She also has experience working in special educational units for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Visual Impairment and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. She spent a substantial amount of time working with preschool children within the community, in health centres and GP surgeries. Her role also involved delivery of speech and language training packages to education staff.
